For the love of dogs.
Sarah Sweet is a professional dog trainer and owner of The Heeling Shepherd, based out of Grand Rapids, MI and servicing the greater West Michigan community. She has earned an Associate’s Degree in the arts, as well as studied animal biology, communication, body language, and evolution and has been training dogs and their people professionally for 5 years.
After years of training personal dogs, volunteering at shelters and rescues, mentoring under trainers in the community, and seeing a real need for better communication with our canine counterparts, she decided to make a career of helping families with their pets. Sarah is currently working toward more dog training certifications, and is a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP). She continues to stay current with the best practices in the dog world by attending educational workshops, soaking in and applying new studies and research, and studying and networking with other professionals both in the community and around the world.
Sarah owns four personal dogs: Latigo the German Shepherd (pictured right), Polly the rescue Pitbull, Isa the German Shepherd (pictured left), and Sunny the Husky mix puppy.
